About Us:
Help the Children Hear was founded in 2000 by Rotarians working side-by-side through Youth Exchange Programs and Rotary Matching Grants.

Our Vision:
Open doors to the world for hearing impaired children through the gifts of hearing aids and learning tools .
Mission:
To provide hearing resources to children in emerging nations by sponsoring hearing aid clinics, providing access to audiologists, recycling old and unused hearing aids, providing an ongoing supply of hearing aid products; such as, hearing aids, batteries and services and by providing ongoing developmental educational support.
Impact Statement:
Since its inception in 2000, HTCH has provided hundreds of children in Argentina, Dominican Republic and Philippines with hearing aids. Through our recycling program, HTCH has collected thousands of hearing aids which allowed us to purchase reconditioned hearing aids. Without intervention the children of emerging nations have little hope of integrating into the hearing world. Hearing devices equip them with the necessary resources to help achieve their full potential and aid in halting the cycle of illiteracy and poverty.

Recycling Program:
The Hearing Aid Recycling Program is an integral component of achieving our vision. Through this program, HTCH volunteers collect old, used, and/or broken hearing aids. In many cases, it is difficult to find an outlet for unneeded hearing aids and it just doesn’t seem right to throw the device into the trash. These devices have outlived their usefulness to their owner yet can continue to help others hear by being recycled into a refurbished device designed for children. Hearing aids for clinics in Argentina, Philippines, and Dominican Republic were available as a direct result of recycling. Through the gifts of hearing aids and educational tools, children begin a life surrounded by sounds of love, joy, and laughter.
