Hope For Hearing Loss

Quarterly Newsletters

NewsletterVolume 2December 2003

Big things are happening!

Before we get into some of those details, we hope youšll take a few minutes to read the articles in this, our second newsletter. The stories are reprinted (with permission) from the Summer SHHH newsletter. Therešs so much good and interesting information that they had in their newsletter that we felt it was important to make sure as many people as possible see the articles.

Now, for our big news!

Our long-planned video supporting the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center (VMBHRC) at the University of Washington is underway. We entered into an agreement with Tacoma 8 Rotarian Don Domanšs company to produce the program. Our plans call for it to be ready in the Spring.

As soon as the video is completed, it will be made available on this website. We also plan to make copies available to numerous other organizations and many Rotary districts around the world.

Wešre planning to show the video at the District 5020 conference in Campbell River next May and our plans also include a booth at the International Convention In Chicago in 2005 for IFRAHL.

During our recent tour of the VMBHRC, someone suggested that it every Rotarian contributed just $10 to the hearing regeneration project the $10 million we need would become available. A worthwhile goal so please ask your fellow Rotarians to join the Fellowship for only $10.

Finally, we want to make a presentation to your club if we havenšt already been there. Our Powerpoint program has been refined and improved and wešre ready to come visit you. To schedule your visit, you can e-mail us through this websitešs contact or:
