Lyn Davies, Vice Chair
Having constant media otitis and significant hearing loss as an 11 year old, wishing she could have conversed in sign with some cute boys at 15, and later as a teacher with 42 children in her Year 2 class and no time to attend to their individual needs, it's not surprising she became a teacher of the deaf in 1970 and an advocate for people with special needs. In a career spaning 40 years, Lyn has been a teacher of Special Education, a Disability Consultant and a Primary Principal. Hearing has continued to be her passion, even in Retirement. As a Partner of the Governor of Australian District 9685 in the 2013-2014 Rotary Year, Hearing Health was her DG Partner Project. Her intent is to educate Rotarians and their communities about all aspects of hearing health and to encourage global hearing health through Rotarians for Hearing RAG.
